Yes, and many of our customers prefer it. Installing our MDF stairs at frame stage gives your trades safe, permanent access between levels from day one, instead of ladders and temporary treads. It keeps the site moving, and it means we’re not coming back for a separate install later. If you’re choosing a custom timber staircases, these have different requirements before installation occurs, depending on your design.

No, and that’s deliberate. We supply and install the staircase, balustrade and handrails to a consistent, ready-to-finish standard, and leave the staining, painting and floor coverings to your finishing trades. It keeps our lead times tight and hands your painters and floor layers a clean, square stair to work with.
Yes. Once a staircase is installed it wears site traffic for the rest of the build, so on American Oak veneer and custom timber staircases we offer optional MDF protection boards. Laid over the treads, they take the knocks, spills and boot traffic, so the finished timber underneath stays mark-free and ready to hand over.
