American Oak Staircase & Timber Screen Balustrade, Aldinga Beach

This custom open rise American Oak staircase is built entirely in American Oak hardwood, from the staircase through to the wall rail and batten screen balustrade. The full stringer carries 280 x 42mm treads with 30mm nosings, and the open rise design keeps the profile clean and uncluttered. A round American Oak wall rail runs on stainless steel brackets along the wall.
The balustrade is the defining feature of the build. Two American Oak timber batten screens are stacked to form a continuous balustrade across the lower and upper levels, with a single glass panel completing the upper level run. The result is a staircase that holds its own as a feature of the home.
