The handrail, done properly.
A handrail is the one part of a staircase people actually touch, so it has to feel right in the hand and look the part. We make them in steel and timber, in a range of profiles, as a rail on top of a balustrade or run along a wall.
Our Onerail™ system takes it further. It’s one continuous rail with a single start and end, top and bottom of the stairs, that flows around corners, curves and changes in pitch without a join in sight. It’s the neatest way to carry a handrail through a run of stairs.
From there it’s yours to spec: timber species, LED lighting run inside the rail, and wall brackets with flat or curved plates in zinc, copper, brass or matt black. We can match the handrail to your balustrade or fix it to glass, so the whole staircase reads as one.

Onerail™ System
Onerail™ is our continuous timber handrail system, the tidiest way to carry a rail through a staircase whatever shape it takes.

One rail, top to bottomA single start and end, with no joins or breaks along the run. It's one length of rail the whole way, not sections bolted together.

Bends where the stair bendsIt flows around corners, up curves and through changes in pitch, following the flight instead of stopping and starting at every turn.

LED handrail lighting
Run lighting inside the handrail for a soft glow down the full length of the stairs. It’s subtle wayfinding at night and a genuine feature by day, and because the LED sits inside the rail there’s nothing on show but the light. Available across our handrail range.
Wall brackets and finishes
For a wall-mounted rail, the bracket does the work and sets the look. Choose the plate shape and the finish to match the rest of the stair. Available in a flat plate or curved plate to suit round rails.

Yes. We can build the handrail to take LED lighting, so it glows down the full length of the stairs with nothing on show but the light. It runs on select brackets made to carry the wiring, and the electrical work is completed by a licensed electrician. We build the rail and set it up for the lighting, your electrician handles the wiring and connection.
Yes. We can match the handrail to the balustrade so the two read as one, and fix a handrail straight to glass balustrade panels. It’s the easiest way to tie the whole staircase together instead of the handrail looking like an afterthought.
Yes. A wall rail is a handrail fixed to the wall rather than sitting on a balustrade, and we make them in the same steel and timber profiles. They mount on flat or curved bracket plates, with a range of finishes to match the rest of the staircase.
We install. We handle the installation of handrails and wall rails as standard. Some options can be installed by a qualified builder with their own team if that suits the job, but others have to be handled by us to be fitted correctly.
