We design, build and install custom stairs for builders, architects, developers and homeowners. Our experienced team delivers the right staircase for the project, whether you want a striking open rise staircase, a modern frameless glass style, or stylish stainless steel balustrades.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about custom timber staircases.

Do you work from our plans, or can you help with the design?

Both. If you’ve got plans or architect’s drawings, we build to them. If it’s still being worked out, our team can help design the staircase to suit the space and the build. Either way, you sign off the detail before we start manufacturing.

Do you install the staircase, or supply only?

We install. A custom timber staircase needs specialised trade installation to fit it correctly and safely, so we handle it end to end: design, manufacture and install. Our MDF stairs are simpler to put in, so with those you’ve got the choice: install them yourself, or have us do it.

Do the stairs come finished, or is that done on site?

We take it up to the point the staircase is installed. Staining, sealing, painting and any floor coverings are done on site by your finisher. So we design, build and install, then hand it over ready for the finishing trades.

Can you do glass and steel balustrades, or just timber?

More than just timber. We do timber, glass and steel balustrades, plus wire and custom timber screen balustrades. So you can match the balustrade to the design, whether that’s a frameless glass look, a fine steel or wire detail, or a solid timber screen.

Are your staircases BCA compliant?

Yes. All our stair designs are made to meet the BCA and NCC, so the staircase complies with the current codes, including riser and going dimensions and balustrade heights and gaps.
