Every staircase we make is designed, machined, and installed in-house by skilled qualified tradespeople, many of whom learned the trade on the floor with us.
An apprenticeship or traineeship at Stairlock puts you alongside tradespeople who have spent their careers mastering the craft. You’ll be learning a genuine skill, earning while you do so, and gaining a nationally recognised qualification. All while setting yourself up for long-term success.
Since 2017 we’ve supported 6 trainees and 13 apprentices through to qualification, and 12 of them have stayed on to build their careers with us. We keep 12 apprenticeships running at any one time, with 4 qualifying each year and four new apprentices starting in their place.
Learn a trade, or the business behind it
We offer apprenticeships and traineeships across a range of trades and vocations, full-time or part-time, from school-based to mature age. We cover the training costs, and your training days are paid time. Here's where you could start.
Carpentry / joinery
Certificate III in Carpentry. You'll learn to cut, build and fit timber staircases to fine tolerances, the craft at the heart of what we make.
Cabinet making
Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology. A precise timber trade focused on the components and detail that set a staircase apart.
Business and administration
Certificate III in Business. Train across admin, customer service and sales, scheduling and logistics, estimating, or finance and accounts.
CAD design and programming
Certificate III in Engineering Technical. Turn drawings into staircases on screen and program the machines that cut them.
